ROLE OF CLOUD

IBM has added variable flow heads to the faucet, giving the user more choice in controlling the flow. The buyer can now exercise great flexibility in provisioning resources on demand with the new self-service model.

Managing Multiple PureApplication Services
The other significant change was the addition of a single lever to the faucet, providing clients with one single interface to manage multiple PureApplication Service instances.
While the plumbing seems to be getting better and better, IBM also recently announced additional features that ensure no leakage or shortage. The new enhancements make IBM PureApplication Service more:
1) Efficient: With more RAM configuration options, PureApplication Service enables users to run longer workloads without buying any additional hardware (The faucet won’t fail when you need to run it for a long time).
2) Secured: The option to add application-specific block storage makes it more secure by restricting datasets to specific applications, while also ensuring that datasets persist even after a workload is completed (In other words, it’s leak-proof and never runs out of water).
3) Flexible: New “cloud groups” allow users to segment their dedicated instances, giving them more flexibility in managing their environments and allowing for sub-capacity licensing (You can have different faucets for your different needs).
